10 Ways to Prepare Your Congregation for Festival of Sharing 2020

1. Pray for our neighbors in need and for our cooperative efforts to serve through Festival of Sharing. Pray we can truly equip those He calls in 2020!
2. Invite the Festival of Sharing Coordinator or a Coordinating Committee member to share about our work with your congregation or small group. This can be done virtually as well!
3. Pick Missouri packs and/or international kits to collect. We also collect Best Choice labels (for hunger projects), shoes for Nicaragua, garden seeds (for community gardens) and eyeglasses.
4. Plan special offerings and fundraisers to help Festival of Sharing with administrative costs through the Where Needed Most fund. Checks can be made out to Missouri Annual Conference or MOAC and sent to 3601 Amron Ct, Columbia, MO 65202. 
5. Invite your children/youth to help with collections. Engage them in the stories of need and their passion will inspire the rest of the church.
6. Raise funds specifically for us to buy prison pack supplies in bulk. You can even schedule a time in our warehouse to help us assemble the packs! There is plenty of room to social distance. 
7. Utilize the Festival of Sharing videos to publicize your efforts and inspire people to share their resources. Don't forget to use the removable posters and bulletin inserts in the Festival booklet. You can also print more from the website or contact our office for more supplies.
8. Check out the dates and times for the closest Sharefests to you! This will help plan your collections time frame. Each Sharefest will be collecting kits/packs (both MO and international), quilts, Best Choice Labels, garden seeds, shoes and eyeglasses.
9. Reach out to the Festival of Sharing coordinator to learn about agencies that receive our support in your region and how you can help leading up to or following a Sharefest. 
10. While the Sharefests will look slightly different this year as we follow social distancing and hygiene guidelines, we still anticipate needing the help of volunteers. Please check out the Sharefest pages for specifics on how to volunteer this year.
