Ecumenical Partnerships Receive Funding

Cooperative Response Grants are offered to churches working across at least two denominations on a project or outreach to impact poverty in their community. Grants of up to $1,000 can be requested. In Spring 2024, $11,200 worth of grants were distributed.

Ash Grove UMC/Presb.: $1,000 for diaper bank

A Turning Point/Good Shepherd UMC/Gashland Presb.: $1,000 for homeless day center meals

Avondale UM/Englewood Baptist/Harvesters: $1,000 food pantry freezer

Faith UMC/Blue Springs Christian: $1,000 for backpack snack program

First UMC Festus/Crystal City/First Christian Festus: $1,000 for blessing bag ministry

First UMC Warrensburg: $800 for Blessing Box

Huffman Memorial/Pivotal Point Transitional Housing: $800 for new resident items

Maplewood UMC/CrossRoads Presby.: $1,000 for Community Unity weekly meal

New Awakening UMC/STEM on Wheels: $1,000 for EmpowerSTEM summer camp

Olivet Christian Church/Missouri UMC: $1,000 for Loaves and Fishes

St. Andrew UMC/Operation Food Search: $1,000 for Project Hope Food Pantry

Taylor Chapel UMC/Ward Mem. Baptist/Church on the Move: $1,000 for summer feeding program
